Document the King Tides Here In Cayucos!

Snap the Shore, See the Future.

The King Tides are here for one more round on December 15, 2020, then back January 11-12, 2021. You are invited to help document how they effect our coastline here in Cayucos. Here's the link to the California King Tides Project.

The King Tides Project is a high tide survey conducted throughout the year when tide conditions are right. The intent is to measure land encroachment by "King Tides" and extrapolate potential damage which might occur with rising sea levels.

There are several events throughout the year and if you join you will be notified of the time well in advance and encouraged to take photos of the high tide line. You can then help document what's happening to our coastline by easily uploading your photos to the Statewide data base for analysis.

If you decide to participate, please also send your favorites (with captions, please) to CayucosLandConservancy@gmail.com so that we can post them here as well.

Isn't that another great reason to get outside?

Best holiday wishes to you all!
