Andrea Horvath - Community Engagement
Andrea is a California native, shaped in childhood by the natural beauty of the Southern California coast and then the environmental diversity of the Bay Area. Her childhood adventures in nature sparked a deep appreciation for the environment, a dedication she carried to the Central Coast, where she attended Cal Poly and earned a B.S. in Agribusiness. She later went on to earn her MBA and built a career in the financial markets before transitioning into nonprofit fundraising.
Despite her career path taking her elsewhere, Andrea’s heart remained in SLO County. She and her husband Steve purchased a home in Cayucos, a place that always felt like home, and after years of visiting, they finally made their dream a reality by settling there full-time. Andrea prioritizes protecting the wide-open spaces around Cayucos, ensuring her daughters and future generations can enjoy and appreciate them as she has.
In her free time, Andrea embraces everything SLO County has to offer. Whether she’s exploring the trails with her two dogs, finding balance through yoga, or indulging in the local wine and food scene, she’s always savoring the beauty of the place she calls home.
