Thanks to the vision and dedication of Roger “Chopper” Lyon, land from Cayucos to the northern boundary of Hearst Ranch is preserved. Alongside a willing and charged community of volunteers, the preservation of this land took a leader with knowledge and commitment to enact effective conservation. This vision created viewsheds for future generations and millions of visitors to enjoy.
Please join us as we honor and explore these victories on the ROGER “CHOPPER” LYON Land Conservation Legacy Tour.
Celebrating the long list of conservation successes, this tour will take you down memory lane with history lessons and tall tales. Limited to 55 patrons, a luxury bus will take you to nine preserved coastal sites.
Along the tour, you will visit the Hearst Ranch Warehouse at San Simeon for wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres and finish at the Cayucos Pier with a calamari and chowder tasting at Schooners Wharf.
